WMT faz escultura, fotografia, objeto, vídeo, performance, intervenção urbana e desenho. Seu trabalho procura estabelecer relações entre o imaginário POP, a literatura clássica, princípios construtivos e elementos impalpáveis como a luz, o ar em movimento, o calor, o frio e aromas com o intuito de ampliar o campo da arte à procura de uma possível metafísica dos corpos.

Formado em Comunicação Social pela FAAP, nasceu em 1964 em São Paulo, capital, onde reside atualmente. Em 1998 começa seu trabalho em artes. Em 1999 passa a integrar o grupo de artistas o Grupo Olho Seco. Em 2001 funda em Santa Cecília a galeria independente 10,20x3,60 a qual gere até 2003. Pela galeria passaram importantes nomes que hoje integram a cena de arte contemporânea.

Dentre os trabalhos realizados destacam-se: a individual Herói no Instituto Tomie Ohtake, Panorama da Arte Brasileiro do MAM, e exposições e intervenções internacionais na Bélgica, Portugal, Noruega, Romênia, Estados Unidos e Itália.

Finalista do Prêmio Pipa de 2014 e ganhador dos editais: Prêmio Marcantonio Villaça de aquisição de obras, Conexões Visuais Petrobrás/Funarte e Fundação Iberê Camargo.

Artista residente no The Art Institute of Chicago pela Bolsa Iberê Camargo.

Tem obras nas coleções do MAM-RJ, MAR-RJ, Pinacoteca do Estado de São Paulo e Museu Bispo do Rosário, RJ, Fundação Figueiredo Ferraz e em várias importantes coleções particulares.

WMT makes sculpture, photography, object, video, performance, urban intervention, and drawing. His work seeks to establish relationships between the imaginary, classical literature, constructive principles, and impalpable elements such as light, moving air, heat, cold, and aromas in order to broaden the field of art in search of a possible metaphysics of Bodies.

Graduated in Social Communication from FAAP, he was born in 1964 in São Paulo, where he currently resides. He worked in the music industry until 1998 when he moved through the visual arts. In 1999 he created with a group of artists Olho Seco Group. In 2001 he founded in Santa Cecilia, SP the independent gallery 10.20x3.60 which he managed until 2003. Through the gallery came names that today are part of the contemporary art scene.

Among his work, we can highlight the individual Hero at the Tomie Ohtake Institute, the Panorama of Brazilian Art at MAM, and international exhibitions and public interventions in Belgium, Portugal, Norway, Romania, the United States, and Italy.

Finalist of the Pipa Prize of 2014 and winner of the Marcantonio Villaça Award for the acquisition of works, Petrobrás / Funarte Visual Connections and Iberê Camargo Foundation.

Artist residing at The Art Institute of Chicago by Bolsa Iberê Camargo, has works in the collections of MAM-RJ, MAR-RJ, Pinacoteca of the State of São Paulo and Museu Bispo do Rosário, RJ, and several important private collections.
